Core Disciplines
Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure/ Fine Art Reproduction & Color Science/ AI & Observability Systems/ Production Systems Architecture/ Workflow Automation/ Multi-Cloud Network Engineering/ Creative Technology Leadership
The fine art, print, and creative production industries are full of hard problems that remain unsolved, because the people who understand the creative side often lack the technical depth, and the people with the technical depth have never captured and reproduced an artist's original work.

I've done both. My roots go back to 1996, operating wide-format printers and building color at a full-service print shop. That foundation grew into nearly three decades spanning graphic design, interactive media development, fine art reproduction, production systems architecture, and enterprise cloud infrastructure. The through-line has always been the same: make it work, make it consistent, make it last.

That gap is where I work.

Senior Cloud Network Engineer
2024 — Present
Thomson Reuters, Platform Engineering / Cloud Networking Services Remote
  • Enterprise-scale cloud network infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud, including FedRAMP and GovCloud compliant environments.
  • Core specialization in Check Point CloudGuard firewall architecture, high availability cluster deployments (Cluster XL), rules management, and IaC development via Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • Designed and built a log ingestion, normalization, and vectorization pipeline for AI-assisted network troubleshooting, indexing Check Point firewall telemetry into AWS OpenSearch for semantic retrieval by an autonomous troubleshooting agent.
  • Scripting and automation in Python and Bash. CI/CD via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. BGP/EIGRP/VRF routing. Monitoring via Datadog.
  • Lead projects from inception to completion with autonomy, identifying enhancements and putting forward architectural improvements across the platform.
Co-Founder / Print Production Manager
2018 — Present
Artist Resource Group (ARG) Minneapolis, MN
  • ARG is where the systems work began. The production philosophy, color science rigor, and automation discipline that defines everything that followed was first built and proven here.
  • Managed all aspects of daily large-format print production schedules, including color management and equipment maintenance.
  • Oversaw multiple printing projects simultaneously, ensuring quality standards and delivery schedules were met with minimal cost overruns.
  • Coordinated with multiple print vendors to ensure product quality and consistency between output devices.
  • Conducted press checks, ensuring completion of projects within specified time frame and budget.
  • Led project kick-off meetings, establishing practicality and feasibility of options, setting schedules, and recommending printing processes to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Developed and implemented SOPs and procedures to ensure efficiency and optimal results.
  • Designed the operations, the pricing, the workflows, the client infrastructure. Everything that keeps a studio running at that level of quality. Still building it.
Director of Digital & Print Production  /  Primary Technical Architect, Synograph™
Jan 2019 — Sep 2024
General Public Carpinteria, CA
  • Primary technical architect of Synograph™, GP's proprietary print technology integrating advanced 3D imaging and fine art reproduction. Led R&D for the platform, driving innovation in digital image production and developing new collections and products across retail, interior design, and hospitality markets.
  • The systems work that began at ARG grew and widened here. Built GP's full production and digital workflow infrastructure against real commercial pressure: color management systems, ICC profiling pipelines, spectrophotometric verification, NAS architecture, RIP station networking, and the operational standards that kept high-volume quality-critical output consistent.
  • Managed digital and print production teams, optimized workflows, met deadlines, and implemented training programs to enhance employee skills and ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepared print-ready files, oversaw printing processes, ensured high-quality output, verified print accuracy, monitored on-press quality, and addressed printing issues.
  • Developed an extensive Photoshop automation suite: ExtendScript workflows, batch actions, and custom processing pipelines that became core production infrastructure. Hundreds to thousands of images processed through systems I designed.
  • Provided IT support for workstations, laptops, and grand-format printing equipment, including hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and user training.
  • Managed networking for RIP stations and printers. Managed NAS systems for secure data storage, implemented file management protocols, and monitored storage capacity and performance.
  • Engaged with external technology vendors to procure and integrate advanced digital printing solutions.
  • Clients: RH, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, CB2.
